This last Sunday, after church, Kate and I (friend Daniel introdued me to) went in a Buddist temple that was nearby. Neither of us had ever been in one before. It was interesting. They have the Budda Idols at the very front of the temple, and the stage/pulpit area where the monks lead prayers and such is to the right, and everyone sits facing the right. The temple we went into was a Mahayana Buddist Temple, and so the statue of Budda was flanked by two other statues of some kind of helper deities. We didnt stay too long but it was neat to see.
